Dr. Jonathan Wade, D.O.
Jonathan is a board-certified family physician born in Nashville, Tennessee but has lived in Marietta, Georgia for most of his life. He went to college at Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, Virginia where he played baseball. He then went to the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine- Georgia Campus in Suwanee, Georgia for medical school. He did his residency in Family Medicine at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, South Carolina where he was the Chief Resident both his second and third years of training. He is now glad to be moving to a small town here in Alma and has a special interest in sports medicine, preventative care, geriatrics, and endoscopy. In his spare time he spends time with his family, his daughter Addie Mae, wife Dr. Rachel Burke, and his dogs. He also enjoys athletic activities such as training for triathlons.
Dr. Rachel Burke, D.O.
Dr. Rachel Burke is a Georgia-native. Originally from Gainesville, Georgia, she did her undergraduate training in Biology and Cellular Biology at the University of Georgia. She then went to the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine- Georgia Campus in Suwanee, Georgia for medical school where she became interested in rural medicine and was awarded the Primary Care Award in her fourth year. She did her residency training at Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah where she was the Chief Resident her third year. She is now excited to be practicing Pediatrics here in Alma, Georgia. Professionally she has a special interest in breastfeeding education, nutrition, and exercise. At home, she has one daughter, Addie Mae, and two dogs as well as her husband and business partner Dr. Jonathan Wade.
